The George

Exceptional property with an excellent location. Beds and pillows offer a great night sleep, very nice lounge in the basement to consume the wine you might have gotten and the breakfast is phenomenal. It's fresh, healthy and changes daily. Great job!

The George was such a stunning boutique inn. It was charming, bright, and luxurious. I loved how that it was a Victorian building, but entirely newly renovated amenities. I visited with my fiancé and had a wonderful stay. Our room was on the top floor and was bright and spacious light. It was a few floors up, so I wouldn’t recommend that room to everyone. There is one ADA-friendly room if needed. We loved the Matouk towels and robes, and the bedding was plush and cozy. We didn’t want to leave our room because it was so relaxing. The breakfast was homemade and fresh. We brought our breakfast upstairs since we had a table in our bedroom. The staff were courteous and helpful, and it was nice that there was parking just for guests. The inn is in a slightly more residential area of Napa. Walking is fine, but it can get fairly dark in the evening. We didn’t walk from the inn much and mostly drove around town.

We stayed at The George last week for our annual wine country getaway. We stayed on the 3rd floor in suite 301. We loved our room, it was huge. It didnt feel like a hotel at all because you have so much space. The bed feels like a cloud and the shower is nice and big. The towels are fluffy and absorbent. The biggest surprise was how delicious the breakfast was. Every morning was some kind of protein (bacon, sausage, etc), scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, an assortment of fruit, breads, etc. It's the exact kind of breakfast you need to start your day of wine tasting. We really appreciated this. If I had to ding them on something it would be that the good coffee isnt ready until 8am. If you're from Texas like we are, the 2 hour time change has you waking up 2 hours earlier. And if you're a coffee snob you dont want the keurig in your room. 7am would be a nice option. All in all, great experience and we would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at The George in Napa. Everything was perfect! We were welcomed with sparkling wine which we enjoyed in our beautiful room. The entire place was recently fully renovated and it shows! Everything was brand new and kept in perfect condition. The bathroom was sparkling clean and had a nicely heated tile floor. The room itself was very spacious with a cute window nook to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. The AC made the room very comfortable and the bed was super comfortable as well. In the morning, the chef who had prepared the breakfast buffet was super nice and explained each item. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area walking distance to downtown Napa. All-in-all a wonderful place for a romantic get-away.

Fantastic accomodations and top notch service! The owner was present at times during our stay but in no way overbearing!! This historic building had been renovated with a modern kitchen and updated bedrooms and bathrooms but still retains it's classic charm.

Our group had a wonderful stay at The George. Tracy and Linda were so welcome and accommodating and the property was beautifully restored. Perfect location with plenty of parking - easily walkable to downtown Napa but quiet in the evenings and mornings. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well-appointed (and clean!) with heated floors in the bathroom and a nice sitting area. Breakfast was great every morning. We definitely plan on staying at The George during future return trips!

We were in town for the Holiday Home Tour and stayed for one evening and stayed at the George. The George was on the tour so getting to our room was a little chaotic but I assume accessing your room is easy on a normal day! The grounds are beautiful and the interior is very well decorated. So pretty! The location is walking distance to downtown/main street but far enough away to feel the peace and quiet of a neighborhood. The room was incredible and the bed was very comfortable. We were in room 303, the top floor. The stairs weren’t too steep and it really was not an inconvenience. The room was roomy, had all of the amenities and was nicely decorated. We were curious about the breakfast since many reviews mentioned how good it is but found it to be pretty ordinary (eggs, sausage, potatoes, fruit). When we were leaving, the owner introduced herself and was lovely. We enjoyed staying by at The George and would absolutely stay again in the future.

The George is this kind of property where you feel transported to the past. It’s an incredible residence and enjoying the living room at the end of the day, playing board games or just enjoying the chimney. We spent 3 nights and could really enjoy a different style of living.
